Defence Minister: Defence Budget of 3-3.5% of GDP Should Be Minimum for Modernization

A defence budget of 3-3.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP) should be the minimum limit to ensure the modernization of the Bulgarian armed forces, Defence Minister Atanas Zapryanov said after awarding servicemen on the occasion of the Day of Valour and the Bulgarian Armed Forces Day, the Ministry's press centre said on Monday.

Varna Triples Its Number of Social Enterprises in One Year, Setting a National Example

The number of social enterprises in Varna has tripled over the past year, reaching 30 registered businesses, with one more currently in the process of registration, according to the Regional Centre for Social Economy Development in Northeastern Bulgaria. In comparison, Sofia also has 31 social enterprises, while Plovdiv and Burgas each have 20.
