COVID-19 Update: 3,097 New Cases in
Bulgaria Saturday and
36% Positivity Rate


Sofia, December 12 (BTA) - There are 3,097 new COVID cases in Bulgaria after 8,587 PCR tests done in the 24 hours to midnight on Saturday, according to the national coronavirus information platform. It makes the rate of positive tests of 36 per cent.

The active cases have decreased slightly to 92,581 after 4,290 new recoveries who add up to 78,522 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.

The total number of cases now stands at 177,665 after 1,058,417 people were tested by the PCR method since March.

The hospitalizations stand at 7,151 with 588 patients in intensive care.

A total of 157 COVID patients died making the death toll 5,562 since the start of the pandemic. LN///
