January 20 (BTA) - There were 544 new COVID-19 cases out
of 7,921 tests
done in the 24 hours until Tuesday midnight, according to data
posted on the national coronavirus portal on Wednesday morning.
The test positivity rate is just under 6.87 per cent.

This brings the total number of coronavirus cases in Bulgaria to
 212,927. The active cases number 33,815.

Some 3,223 patients have been hospitalized, with 318 in
intensive care.

There were 49 fatalities in the past 24 hours, bringing the
total number to 8,614.

A total of 6,243 people recovered in the past 24 hours, bringing
 the total number of recoveries to 170,498.

A total of 2,588 people were vaccinated, bringing the total to
22,226.
