February 4 (BTA) - The total number of COVID-19 vaccination doses administered so far in Bulgaria has exceeded 50,000, show data posted on coronavirus.bg in the early hours of Thursday.

A total of 16,433 people have received a second vaccination dose, while 4,207 people were inoculated on Wednesday alone.

The number of recoveries registered on Wednesday was 1,068 and the number of new COVID-19 cases - 719.

A total of 9,876 tests were carried out on Wednesday with a positivity rate of 7.28 per cent. There are a total of 20,496 active cases, of whom 2,969 are in hospital, including 284 in intensive care units. Fourty people with COVID-19 have died in the past 24 hours. RI/MY
