April 3 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
 Bulgaria reached 350,340, after 20,647 tests identified 4,013
new infections on Friday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Saturday. The test positivity
rate now stands at 19.44 per cent.

A total of 2,155,426 tests have been performed in this country
since the first infections were diagnosed on March 8, 2020.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 1,018 positive
 tests, followed by Varna Region with 345 cases and Plovdiv
Region with 322.

The active cases are 70,811. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 10,382, including 753 in intensive care.     

The infected medical staff have reached 12,092, with 66 new
cases registered on Friday.

Another 3,996 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 266,091.

125 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to
13,438.

With 12,083 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 498,085
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 99,882 have received both doses.
