Sofia, April 17 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases
in Bulgaria reached 384,887 after 15,638  tests identified 2,126
 new infections in the past 24 hours, according to data posted
on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands
at 13.6 per cent.

Sofia-city egion tops the list of new cases with 522 positive
tests, followed by Plovdiv with 1922 cases and Varna with 166.

The active cases are 65,754. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 9,115, including 801in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 12,828., with 37new
cases detected in the past day.

Another 3,642 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 304,033.

A total of 121 fatalities were reported, and the death toll now
adds up to more than 15,000.

With 13,755 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 634,000
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 126,884 have received both doses. NV/DT
