COVID-19 Update:
877 New Cases,
Test Positivity Rate at 6.64%


Sofia, May 12 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 412,157 after 13,190 tests identified 877 new infections on Monday, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/ on Tuesday. The test positivity rate now stands at 6.64 per cent.

The active cases are 41,434. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 5,410, including 535 in intensive care.

Another 2,222 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 353,619.

Fifty-nine fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up to 17,104.

With 35,748 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 999,287 persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the coronavirus. BR/
