National Council of Bulgarian Socialist Party Adopts Action Plan for Election Campaign for July 11 Early Elections

Sofia, May 15 (BTA)- Meeting on Saturday, the National Council
of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) adopted with a majority a
report of BSP leader Kornelia Ninova on the current political
situation in this country and the tasks BSP will have for the
July 11 early parliamentary elections, BSP said in a press
release.

The National Council also adopted an action plan for the
election campaign which is based on analyses of the April 4
poll.

The plan sets out the short-term measures of the party's
campaign centre, the order of candidates in BSP's lists, and the
preparation of campaign messages, election platform and outlook
 of the campaign.

The short-term measures are intended to consolidate the BSP from
within and prepare it for active dialogue with coalition
partners and other leftist formations. The participants in the
meeting discussed questions about the organizational
strengthening of the party, digitalization and new technologies
that can be used.

The meeting elected unanimously a national campaign centre.
Kristian Vigenin (former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria
in the programme government headed by Plamen Oresharski in 2013
 - 2014, and former Member of the European Parliament) was
elected chairman of the new campaign centre. The center was
reduced to eight members.

Bulgaria is holding snap parliamentary elections on July 11
after the National Assembly elected in a regular poll on April 4
failed to form a government. NV/ZH
