Sofia, May 16 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in
Bulgaria reached 414,041 after 7,281 tests identified 203 new
infections on Saturday, according to data posted on
https://coronavirus.bg/ early on Sunday. The test positivity
rate now stands at 2.8 per cent.

Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 44 positive
tests, followed by Varna Region with 31 cases and Plovdiv Region
 with 21 cases.

The active cases are 34,464. Currently, the hospitalized
patients number 4,839, including 501 in intensive care.

The infected medical staff have reached 13,335, with 9 new cases
 detected since Thursday.

Another 334 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24
hours, bringing the total to 362,327.

Seven fatalities were reported, and the death toll now adds up
to 17,250.

With 6,591 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 1,113,351
persons in aggregate have been vaccinated against the
coronavirus, of whom 413,148 have received both doses.
