All School Students Back to In-Person Classes from May 31

May 31 (BTA) - Bulgaria's schools have resumed in-person
attendance for all students from Grade 5 to 11 on May 31, said
the Education and Science Ministry, quoting an order of the
Health Minister of May 18. Until now, those students alternated
between in-person and remote learning.
The existing epidemic-control requirements for disinfection and
mask wearing remain in place.
If new cases among students and staff increase, a principal can
propose a return to remote classes for the whole school, subject
to approval by the Education Minister. However, it is at the
school principal's discretion to allow an individual form to
switch to online classes.
Parents still have the option of asking that their children
continue studying remotely after May 31. RY/DD
