Central Election Commission Announces Results of July 11 Elections for Bulgaria's 46th National Assembly

Sofia, July 15 (BTA) - The Central Election Commission (CEC)
announced the results of the vote on July 11 that elected the
members of Bulgaria's 46th National Assembly. The information is
 published on the websites of CEC and BTA.

The number of voters on the lists submitted to voting sections
was 6,668,540.

The number of voters entered on annexed pages (below the line)
of the lists on election day was 205,244.

The number of votes according to the signatures in voter lists,
including annexed pages, was 2,775,754.
   
The number of unused ballots was 6,298,234.
   
The number of invalid ballots, as defined by the Election Code,
was 13,467.
   
The total number of ballots found in the ballot boxes (297,812)
and confirmed machine votes (2,477,943) was 2,775,755.
  
A total of 9,342 invalid ballots were found in the ballot boxes.
  
The total number of valid votes was 2,766,426. Of them,
2,731,225
were cast in support of the parties and coalitions running in
the elections, and 35,201 not supporting anyone.

In the July 11 early elections, the There Is Such a People
(TISP) party won 24.08 per cent of the votes, and receive 65
seats in the 46th National Assembly. GERB-UDF is second with
23.51 per cent and 53 seats. BSP for Bulgaria garnered 13.39 per
 cent of the votes which translates to 36 seats. The Democratic
Bulgaria Alliance won 12.64 per cent and 34 seats. With 10.71
per cent of the votes, The Movement for Rights and Freedoms
receives 29 seats, followed by the Rise Up! Thugs Out! coalition
 with 5.01 per cent and 13 seats.
