July 19 (BTA) - The political forces represented gathered for a technical meeting here on Monday prior to the 46th National Assembly's first sitting, scheduled to take place on Wednesday.

Maria Cappone of Rise Up! Thugs Out! (RUTO) told BTA that the distribution of seats in the plenary and the sitting's agenda were discussed.

The different political forces have not yet agreed on who will be the new National Assembly's chairperson. Tatiana Doncheva of RUTO said that each party will propose a chairperson during plenary.

An agreement was reached to adopt a decision allowing MPs quarantined due to COVID-19 to be sworn in remotely. RI/MY
