In Parliament, GERB-UDF Will Vote against Cabinet Proposed by TISP

August 3 (BTA) - The GERB-UDF Parliamentary Group will be
in the debating chamber and will vote against the cabinet
proposed by the There Is Such a People (TISP) party, GERB leader
Boyko Borissov told a news briefing here on Tuesday after an
enlarged meeting of his party's Executive Commission and the
GERB-UDF Parliamentary Group at which this the decision was
made.

GERB waited on Monday to see "if TISP will come to their senses"
and invite them for talks, but that did not happen.

The Executive Commission decided that "GERB-UDF must distance
themselves as much as possible from these hate parties, which
treat people disrespectfully." "That is why the MPs will attend
the plenary sitting and will vote against [the proposed TISP
cabinet], because any other move would open the way for all
kinds of misinterpretations," Borissov said.

The Executive Commission found that the current situation in the
country was "a complete chaos". "In the period between the
early and the regular parliamentary elections the other
political forces imposed an illusion that a government excluding
GERB could be formed: we would like to stay at a distance from
all that is going on," the GERB-UDF position says.

With 63 MPs, GERB-UDF is the second-largest group in the
240-seat parliament after TISP (65 MPs). To be voted through, a
cabinet must be supported by more than half of the MPs present.
