Government's Security Council to Discuss Policy towards North Macedonia Next Week

Sofia, September 9 (BTA) - The Security Council with Bulgaria's Government will meet next week to consider the need of analysing and updating this country's overall policy towards the Republic of North Macedonia, caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev told journalists here on Thursday.

"This applies in particular to the development of the political process in the Republic of North Macedonia, but also regarding our political behaviour and seeking future solutions in the interest of both countries' peoples," the PM specified.

"The discussion we propose is intended, while staying within the framework adopted by the Bulgarian Parliament, to locate practical solutions that would provide reference points in Bulgaria's foreign policy so that it could be understood by its EU allies and produce enduring messages and solutions serving our national interest," Yanev said.
