BTA Signs Agreement for Opening of Press Club in Yambol
Yambol, Southeastern Bulgaria, November 5 (BTA) - Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) Director General Kiril Valchev and Yambol Mayor Valentin Revanski Friday signed an agreement on the provision of space for a BTA press club in the southeastern town. The press club will be unveiled in early 2022 after the room, located in downtown Yambol, is repaired.
In Valchev's words, the new BTA press club will host news conferences, discussions, events that will become known to the whole of Bulgaria and, through the English language service of BTA, to the world. The club will be a place for exchange of professional experience and for career development training; it will restore the spirit of the journalist community, he added.
BTA already has 19 press clubs located in Sofia, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Vidin, Vratsa, Kyustendil, Lovech, Pazardjik, Pleven, Plovdiv, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Shumen, Dobrich, Russe, Kazanluk, as well as in Serbia's Bosilegrad and in Moldova's Taraclia. BTA press clubs are about to be unveiled in Burgas and other regional cities in Bulgaria.
