November 7 (BTA) - The Bulgarian healthcare authorities confirmed 2,826 new cases of COVID-19 in the country on Saturday, November 6, based on 46,388 tests. The test positivity rate for the day was 6.1 per cent, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg.

Another 65 people died of the disease on Saturday, compared to 185 on Friday. In 98.46 per cent of lethal cases the people had not been vaccinated. A total of 25,005 people have died of COVID-19 in Bulgaria since the onset of the pandemic.

Those who recovered from the disease on Saturday numbered 661.

The active cases number 112,651. Hospitalized patients are 8,370, including 359 newly admitted to hospital. Some 89.42 per cent of the newly hospitalized had not been vaccinated. Those in intensive care number 732.

A further 6,749 vaccine doses were administered in 24 hours, bringing the total to 2,960,810 doses. VE
