President Radev Congratulates Audrey Azoulay on Re-election as Director-General of UNESCO
Sofia, November 10 (BTA) - President Rumen Radev congratulated Audrey Azoulay on her re-election as Director-General of UNESCO, the press office of the head of state said. In his letter, the President expressed confidence that the partnership between Bulgaria and UNESCO will continue to be intensive, successful and in-depth, in line with Bulgaria's strong commitment to the implementation of the organization's programmes and mission.
President Radev points out that the re-election of Audrey Azoulay is a recognition of the unreserved efforts and tireless work made in the name of the organization's noble goals. ''Bulgaria highly appreciates your efforts to reform UNESCO, to digitize part of the cultural and historical heritage and to open the organization to young people,'' the Radev said.
The President emphasizes that this year Bulgaria celebrates 65 years since joining the UNESCO family - the only organization in the UN system uniting all areas of intellectual life. LN/DT
