COVID-19 Update: 828 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 5.83%

Sofia, November 15 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 655,647, after 14,204 tests identified 828 new infections on Sunday, 84.06 per cent of which were of unvaccinated persons, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 5.38 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 233 positive tests, followed by Varna Region with 104 cases and Plovdiv Region with 63.
The active cases are 113,227. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 8,228, including 752 in intensive care. Of the 293 hospital admissions, 87.37 per cent were not vaccinated.
Another 1,353 COVID-19 patients have recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 516,141.
Eighty-eight fatalities were reported (97.73 per cent unvaccinated), and the death toll now adds up to 26,279.
With 4,874 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,070,018 vaccine doses have been administered so far and 1,623,014 people are fully vaccinated, and 41,534 have received a booster jab. DD/PP
