Sofia, November 15 (BTA) - In his address to the faithful at the beginning of Nativity Fast, Patriarch Neophyte of Bulgaria said on Monday: "The beginning of Nativity Fast is yet another opportunity for all of us to stand firm in the exploit of our faith and prepare to welcome Christ on the bright day of His nativity. Fast is the time for spiritual contemplation, humbling and dedicated prayer - a blessed period the holy Orthodox Church has wisely assigned with care for our spiritual well-being, so that we may succeed and prosper in our faith of salvation." 

Nativity Fast begins on November 15 and ends on December 24, Christmas Eve. DD/BR
