COVID-19 Update: 2,737 New Cases, Test Positivity Rate at 6.2%
Sofia, November 20 (BTA) - The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria reached 671,100, after 44,303 tests identified 2,737 new infections on Friday, of whom 82.24 per cent are unvaccinated, according to data posted on https://coronavirus.bg/. The test positivity rate now stands at 6.2 per cent.
Sofia City Region tops the list of new cases with 593 positive tests, followed by Plovdiv Region with 239 cases and Varna Region with 209 cases.
The active cases are 108,604. Currently, the hospitalized patients number 7,276, including 767 in intensive care. Of the 783 newly hospitalized patients, 87.61 per cent are unvaccinated.
A total of 139 fatalities were reported, of whom 93.53 per cent were not vaccinated, and the death toll now adds up to 27,124.
Another 3,138 COVID-19 patients recovered over the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 535,372.
With 21,753 new inoculations over the last 24 hours, 3,174,224 vaccine doses have been administered so far, 1,686,838 people are fully vaccinated and 59,811 people have received a booster dose. DD
