Bulgaria to Be Represented at Eurovision Song Contest by Ronnie Romero and the Intelligent Music Project

November 25 (BTA) - Bulgaria will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest again. In May 2022, the country will be represented in Turin, Italy by the Intelligent Music Project, Bulgarian National Television said on Thursday.


The group is led by Ronnie Romero, the current lead singer for the legendary British rock band Rainbow. On the Eurovision stage, Romero will be accompanied by Stoyan "Stundzhi" Yankulov, Bisser Ivanov, Slavin Slavchev, Ivo Stefanov and Dimitar Sirakov.

They will perform the song "Namerenie" ("Intention"). The music and the lyrics for the song were written by Milen Vrabevski. It will be finished very soon and fans will be able to hear it during a tour in December.

Romero says he has worked for the Intelligent Music Project for almost three years. He says he feels that he belongs in the group and will be glad to contribute to the Bulgarian participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. He remembers watching the contest on TV with his son, and now he will be up there on the big stage. RY/VE
