National Customs Agency Logs Tax Collection of Nearly LV 1 Bln in October

December 1 (BTA) - The National Customs Agency notched up revenues of nearly 1 bln leva in October 2021 from excise duties, import VAT and customs duties, the Agency said in a press release on Wednesday.


Revenues in October 2021 totalled 975.9 mln leva, exceeding by 123 mln (14.4 per cent) the October 2020 numbers. All types of revenues marked higher values, compared to October 2020.

Revenues from excise duties amounted to 515.3 mln leva, rising by 20.5 mln leva from this time last year. Revenues from import VAT increased by 92.4 mln. leva from October 2020, reaching 430.4 mln leva, which is a monthly record for 2021. Revenues from customs duties were 29.7 mln leva, highest since 2016. The respective figure for the same period in 2020 was 19.4 mln leva.

Revenues from excise duties, import VAT and custom duties for the January - October 2021 period amounted to 8,742.9 mln leva, increasing by 1,075.9 mln. leva, year on year.

In November, the National Customs Agency expects revenues of more than 830 mln leva in total again, rising by 12.7 per cent compared to November 2020. VE/KK
