US Army Helicopters Overflying Bulgarian Territory

December 8 (BTA) - UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters of the United States Army are overflying Bulgarian territory on December 8 and 9 as they are relocating from Greece to Romania, the Defence Ministry reported. The flights are part of a rotation of forces and equipment of the US Armed Forces in connection with Operation Atlantic Resolve.


While overflying Bulgaria, the helicopters will stop over at the Novo Selo Training Area and Burgas Airport.

The flights are taking place between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Bulgarian time over the area of Burgas and nearby settlements. The crews are following the standard noise control procedures and the routes have been approved in advance. All necessary flight safety precautions have been taken. LN/VE
