Bulgaria Reduces Time between Second and Booster Vaccine Shot
December 30 (BTA) - Bulgaria reduces the time between the
second dose of the COVID vaccines and the booster shot to three
months from six months. The announcement was made by Chief
Health Inspector Dr Angel Kunchev at a news briefing on
Thursday.
For single-dose vaccines, the firstand booster shot must be two
months apart.
"Research shows that this period ensures a strong enough immune
response and maximum protection," said Dr Kunchev.
The new time prescriptions apply only for people older than 18
years. RY/LN/
