Sofia Halts Planned Hospital Admission and Surgery amid Worsening COVID Metrics
Sofia, January 10 (BTA) - Planned hospital admissions and surgery in Sofia will be suspended as of January 12 amid worsening COVID metrics in the city and most of the rest of the country. An order to that effect was published Monday on the website of Sofia Regional Health Inspectorate.
The order will not apply to activities related to transplantation of organs, tissues and cells, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, assisted reproduction and births.
Visits to hospitals in Sofia will not be allowed, with the exception of visits to terminal patients. Control bodies will continue to perform their duties. RY/DT
