Second Group of Polar Explorers Part of 30th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition Reaches Bulgarian Base on Livingston Island
Sofia, January 24 (BTA) - The second group of eleven explorers part of the 30th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition has reached the Bulgarian Antarctic base on Livingston Island, Emil Ivanov who is in the group said.
The second group, which departed for Antarctica on January 9, joins an earlier team of 15 people.
The second group includes mainly researchers who are going to work on seven projects of the National Polar Research Programme financed by the Education and Science Ministry. The researchers are two medical doctors, a seismologist, two geologists, and two biologists. In the group are also a cook, a motor boats expert and a mechanic.
