January 24 (BTA) - Bulgaria is second to last in the EU for interest in online learning, shows an Eurostat survey presented here on Monday. In 2021, only 12 per cent of Bulgarians aged between 16 and 74 did an online course or used online learning materials in the three months prior to the survey. In comparison, this share stood at 27 per cent in the EU, up by 4 percentage points year-on-year.

The interest in online learning is the lowest in Romania, 10 per cent, and the highest in Ireland, 46 per cent.
