February 2 (BTA) - Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Assen Vasilev has appointed Georgi Nikolov Executive Director of the Public Procurement Agency, Vassilev's Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

Nikolov replaces Miglena Pavlova, who resigned for personal reasons.

Having earned a master's degree in international economic relations from the Leopold Franzens University of Innsbruck, Austria, Nikolov amassed considerable experience in the area of public procurement during a 15-year career with a large international retail chain in Bulgaria, where he was in charge of document drafting and entry into tendering procedures.
