Fireflies to Perform in
Sofia


Sofia, February 19 (BTA) - Ukrainian shadow theatre Fireflies is
having its first performance in Sofia on April 4, in Sofia's
National Palace of Culture, the organizers of the event said.

In Sofia the artists will present the Shadow Space show - a
captivating blend of choreography, play-acting, hand theatre,
acrobatics, sand animation and neon which takes the viewer on a
journey to the world of shadows: a secret place where adventures
and fantasies rule.

Fireflies had their first performance in November 2010. All in
the troupe are athletes who have undergone dancing and acting
training.

Love, the creation of the world, war, journeys, fairy-tales are
at the focus of the Fireflies performances. The artists continue
to work, despite the dramatic developments in their homeland.
The troupe has created a screen version of the performance "No
To War" to honour the heroes of the Maidan Square in Kiev. LY
