NDK Hosts
First Saloon of
Galleries


Sofia, April 24 (BTA) - The first Saloon of Galleries was
unveiled at the National Palace of Culture (NDK). The even will
be opened until April 27. Sofia Deputy Mayor Todor Chobanov
voiced hope that the initiative will turn NDK into a favourite
location for the connoisseurs of visual arts, artists and the
audience.

Participating in the Saloon of Galleries are over 25 galleries
from the country. Presented are collections of the Union of
Bulgarian Artists and four municipal galleries - in Pernik,
Rousse, Sliven and Kazanluk, NDK Board of Directors member
Lyubomir Vesselinov told BTA.

The exhibition titled "Retrospectively: Georgi "Elephant"
Bozhilov" is the central event of the Saloon. It is staged in
partnership with New Bulgarian University. /LI/TK/
