Sofia, July 16 (BTA) - The bronze head of Thracian ruler Seuthes
 III (from ca. 331 BC to ca. 300 BC), property of the Bulgarian
Academy of Sciences' National Institute of Archaeology, will be
displayed at the J. Paul Getty Museum (the Getty Museum) in Los
Angeles on July 28, the Bulgarian Culture Ministry said.

The bronze head is currently on display in the Louvre and is the
 highlight of the exhibition titled "The Saga of the Thracian
Kings: Archaeological Discoveries in Bulgaria", which will close
 on July 20.

The remarkable archaeological find will be included in the Getty
 Museum's Power and Pathos: Bronze Sculpture of the Hellenistic
World exhibition, where it will be on display until November 1,
2015. The exhibition will include a total of 50 significant
bronzes of the Hellenistic age. This exhibition is organized by
the J. Paul Getty Museum, the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi in
Florence, and the National Gallery of Art in Washington with the
 participation of the Soprintendenza per i Beni Archeologici
della Toscana. It is supported by an indemnity from the Federal
Council on the Arts and the Humanities.
 
Meanwhile the Bulgarian exhibition in the Louvre, which includes
 1,629 exhibits, property of 17 Bulgarian museums, continues to
enjoy huge interest even in its last days, the Culture Ministry
said.

The Louvre is visited by 700,000 to 750,000 visitors from all
over the world each month. Many museums from across the world
have shown interest in exhibiting the Bulgarian Thracian
treasures, including the British Museum.
