Planned Annual Repair of Kozloduy N-Plant's Unit 6 Ends
October 24 (BTA) - The planned
annual repair of the Kozloduy N-plant's Unit 6 has been
completed, and the 1000 MW unit was connected to the national
electricity system on Thursday following a check and subsequent
approval by the Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency, the plant's
information centre said.
The repair works began on September 22, 2019 and included a
recharging of the reactor with fresh nuclear fuel and
prophylaxis of the systems and equipment. Also carried out were
planned measures for ensuring the long-term use of Unit 6, which
on October 1 was licensed to operate for ten more years.
Kozloduy N-plant's Unit 5 is working at full capacity.
