Financial Literacy Taught in 81 Bulgarian Schools

January 7 (BTA) - Our Money, a financial literacy
programme, is taught in 81 Bulgarian schools. By the end of the
2019-2020 school year, more than 2,050 students, organized in 85
groups, will learn how to organize their personal finances.

The Our Money programme, launched in 2016 for 16- to
18-year-olds, is geared to the local specifics of education. It
has been supported and financed by Bulgarian banks.

A textbook, a student's workbook and a teacher's manual have
been developed with the help of Prosveta Publishers. An online
platform for video tutorials is a partner in the project.

Another platform, pocketscience.bg, offers clothes and
accessories which students can win on points earned through
financial literacy tests. RY/DD
