Sofia, April 28 (BTA) - The President of the Bulgarian Water Association, Ivan Ivanov, was elected Chairman of Bulgarski ViK Holding EAD Management Board, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works said Tuesday. The other two members of the Board are Ilian Ilev, until recently director of the utility in Shoumen (Northeastern Bulgaria), and Ventsislav Todorov, former head of the Sofia ViK branch in Samokov (Southwestern Bulgaria). Iliev was commissioned to head the operation of the new structure.

The Board was elected Tuesday by the holding's five-member Supervisory Board, which was appointed by the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works, and is chaired by Prof. Nikolai Lisev, head of the Hydraulics and Hydrology Department at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

The Supervisory Board also includes two representatives of the Ministry - Yura Yordanova-Vitanova, Deputy Chair of the Council, and Atanas Boyadjiev. Its other members are Galin Zhelev of the Finance Ministry and Prof. Rumen Arsov of the Water Supply, Sewerage, Water and Wastewater Treatment Department at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, who is also a member of a number of professional organizations.

The holding is yet to be entered in the Commercial Register with the Registry Agency.

The Council of Ministers decided to establish the fully state-owned company which has 1 billion leva in capital. The rights of the state in the company will be managed by the Regional Development Minister. RI/BR
