Regulator Discusses Bulgargaz's Natural Gas Price Increase Proposal
July 22 (BTA) - The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) discussed here on Wednesday during an open online session Bulgargaz's proposed natural gas price increase by 2.20 per cent for August.
Bulgargaz EAD has proposed in a report, submitted to EWRC, that the natural gas price for next month be set at 19.52 lv/MWh (exclusive of access and transmission fees, excise and VAT tax). This is the price at which Bulgargaz would sell natural gas to end suppliers and persons who have been issued licensure for the production and transmission of heat energy. The proposed price increase is 0.42 lv/MWh, or 2.20 per cent.
Bulgargaz's chief Nikolay Pavlov said during the meeting that the public supplier has no objections concerning the report drafted by EWRC's working group. The final decision about the August natural gas price will be made by the regulator during a meeting on August 1, which will be held behind closed doors, EWRC's head Ivan Ivanov said. RY/MY
