By End-June, Households Kept Lv 57.2 Bln on Bank Deposits
August 7 (BTA) - The deposits of the Non-financial corporations sector and the Households and Non-profit institutions, serving households (NPISHs) sector numbered 9,905,000 at the end of June 2020, declining by 2.8 per cent, year on year, the Bulgarian National Bank reported on Friday. The total amount of financial assets kept on these deposits was 83.178 billion leva, increasing by 9.0 per cent.
The deposits of the Non-financial corporations sector numbered 582,000 at the end of June 2020, decreasing by 3.0 per cent, year on year. These deposits amounted to 26.007 billion leva at the end of the second quarter of 2020, rising by 11.9 per cent, year on year.
At the end of the second quarter of 2020, the number of deposits of the Households and NPISHs sector decreased by 2.8 per cent, year on year, reaching 9,323,000. These deposits amounted to 57.171 billion leva, increasing by 7.8 per cent, year on year.
The loans extended to the Non-financial corporations sector and the Households and NPISHs sector at the end of the second quarter of 2020 numbered 2,976,000, decreasing by 4.0 per cent, year on year. The total amount of these loans was 59.369 billion leva, increasing by 4.9 per cent, year on year.
The loans extended to the Non-financial corporations sector at the end of the second quarter of 2020 numbered 148,000, decreasing by 2.1 per cent, year on year. The amount of these loans was 34.810 billion leva, increasing by 2.9 per cent, year on year.
At the end of June 2020, the number of loans extended to the Households and NPISHs sector decreased by 4.1 per cent, year on year, reaching 2,828,000. The amount of these loans rose by 8.0 per cent, year on year, reaching 24.559 billion leva. RI/LG
