Оctober 22 (BTA) - Bulgaria's debt for 2019 amounted to 24,212 million leva, or 20.2 per cent of GDP, according to final data from the National Statistical Institute on Thursday.

In 2019, the General Government institutional sector reported a budget surplus of 2,304 million leva, or 1.9 per cent of GDP. The surplus in the Central Government subsector amounted to 2,185 million leva, or 1.8 per cent of GDP. The Local Government subsector reported a deficit of 151 million leva, and the Social Security Funds subsector reported a surplus of 269 million leva. RI/DT
