BCCI Survey: 95% of Foreign Companies Ready to Expand Their Investments in Bulgaria
January 15 (BTA) - A survey by the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and partnering business organizations shows that 95 per cent of the foreign companies that have invested in Bulgaria are ready to expand their investments. This was announced by head of the BCCI Tsvetan Simeonov during a webinar on doing business in Bulgaria, initiated by the World Trade Center Leeuwarden in the Netherlands, BCCI informed on Friday.
Simeonov advised the Dutch companies preparing to start business relations with Bulgarian partners to seek assistance from the BCCI, the Registry Agency and the embassies of the two countries; also to include arbitration provisions in their contracts and bear in mind that Bulgarians are very tolerant in many respects, and Bulgarian firms are open to business. He also focused on the positive characteristics of Bulgaria's economic environment and underscored that the intolerance for corruption in Bulgaria is growing, and the related criticism from the EU is decreasing.
Dutch Ambassador to Bulgaria Bea ten Tusscher pointed out that the investments of many Dutch companies in Bulgaria have proven successful, especially in the field of agriculture. She also presented to the forum additional information about Dutch companies planning to invest in Bulgarian agriculture.
