Polish Institute Shows a Film about One of the Biggest Rescues of Jews in Second World War

April 7 (BTA) - The documentary "Polmission. The Passports' Secrets" will be screened in the evening of April 8 in Sofia, the Polish Institute hosting the event announced on Wednesday.


The film by Polish director Jacek Papis tells about one of the most massive and mysterious actions to rescue Jews during the Second World War.

Led by Polish Ambassador to Switzerland Alexander Lados, a group of activists buys South American passports for Jews. Thanks to them, many Jews avoid death at concentration camps, and live to see the end of the war.
