Just one party submitted its documents to the Central Election Commission (CEC) on Thursday, which is the first day on which contestants could apply for registration for entry in the July 11 early parliamentary elections, CEC Spokesperson Rossitsa Mateva (left) told a news briefing. The deadline for applications is May 26. Voting sections abroad will be set up in a record 500 locations, said CEC Spokesperson Tsvetozar Tomov (right). He pointed out that the logistics of voting abroad is one of the complicated issues that CEC has to tackle, which is why he called for more patience and trust. CEC Chair Kamelia Neykova said she counts on the media to bring all information to the public and help the Commission carry out its awareness raising campaign about machine voting
