Bourgas, on the Black Sea, June 4 (BTA Corr. Antoan Nikolov) -
Thirty-five companies operate on the territory of Industrial and
Logistic Park Bourgas, the parkÒs PR Peter Ivanov told BTA. The
investors there are enterprises from various business sectors
like the food and wine industry, air conditioning or metal
works, including companies of world renown.

ÓThe first company to come here, Zoomarket from Gabrovo, rented
a warehouse for pet food and accessories in 2013,Ô Ivanov
explained. In 2015, the first enterprise to begin operation
there was concrete manufacturer Hydrobeton. The latest addition
is Condex, official importer for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
Volvo is the best-known company to operate on the territory of
the industrial park. It provides maintenance to the entire range
of Volvo Trucks and Renault trucks, as Volvo also owns
RanaultÒs truck line. Each Volvo service outlet in Bulgaria and
Europe has decided to buy a property, do everything according to
its quality criteria and begin work at Industrial and Logistic
Park Bourgas, says Ivanov, adding that this operation is
currently expanding to include a painting outlet. There is also
a Ukrainian firm making parts of airplane engines and recycling
propellers and airfoils. This company, with Ukrainian, German
and American capital, is set to create 200 jobs. It is
registered in Bulgaria and its headquarters is now pending
completion.

Currently, there are about 30 buildings on the territory of the
industrial park and more are under construction. About 800
people work there, but that is not its full capacity, Ivanov
said.

The natural expansion of the park will continue with phase two,
a territory that is the StateÒs in-kind contribution to the
enterprise. It is located in the South-West Industrial Zone and
is currently in the process of levelling and development of
infrastructure. Investors have already shown interest in this
location.

This industrial zone is strategically well located, at good
distances from important transport connections. Unlike the first
zone, the terrains in the second one are much larger, which
presupposes a quest for larger investors. If the largest plot in
the first zone is 2.6 ha, in the second one it is about 15 ha,
said Ivanov, adding that they hope they will have a kick-start
there and multiply the effect they have already achieved in the
first one.

The management of the industrial park considers it very
important for the companies there to be environment-friendly.
There should be no pollution, for both zones on the territory
are very picturesque and protected locations. Via Pontica, the
bird migration route, passes through the territory of the
industrial park. Over 50 protected species of birds listed in
BulgariaÒs Red Book nest on the territory of Vaya lake.

Industrial and Logistic Park Bourgas is a joint-stock company in
which the Bourgas Municipality and the National Company
Industrial Zones EAD single-shareholder joint-stock company are
shareholders. This means that the support for the present and
future investors comes in two institutional levels Ö state and
municipal. A special business building has also been made to
promote and ease the development of companies at Industrial and
Logistic Park Bourgas. NV/BR
