Albena, Black Sea, June 10 (BTA) - Tourist sites where 100 per
cent of staff have been vaccinated against COVID-19 will receive
special stickers issued by the Ministries of Tourism and
Health. The first was placed today at one of the hotels in the
Albena complex by Minister Stella Baltova and Chief Health
Inspector Angel Kunchev.

The idea is for the stickers to allow sites to be advertised
more successfully because they are safe for guests. Kunchev
clarified that he will order that regional health inspectorate
employees at seaside settlements promote the new initiative
among the owners of hotels and restaurants. His personal
position is that employers should be active and even "pressure"
their employees to get vaccinated. He clarified that he did not
mean dismissals, but rather to offer additional incentives for
those who are immunized.

In Albena, the number of vaccinated employees already exceeds a
total of 70 per cent, and the complex has a vaccination centre.
In addition, a base has been provided to accommodate those who
may be infected with COVID-19, Kunchev added.

He said that the COVID-19 incidence in Bulgaria is steadily
declining, but that this does not mean to be careless. For the
past week Bulgaria has been 23rd in terms of morbidity in
Europe, with only five countries having slightly better
indicators, Kunchev explained.

The vaccination process should be a company policy, said
Minister Baltova. According to her, many accommodation
establishments in the country already offer vaccination to
guests. As a good example in this regard, she singled out the
St. St. Konstantine and Elena complex, where hotels offer both
vaccination and PCR tests. Good practices are also present in
the Southern Black Sea coast and they should be maximally
popularized in order for the sector to work even better, Baltova
 summed up. NV/DT
