Sunny Day Beach Waving Blue Flag for 25 Years

Varna, on the Black Sea (BTA) - The beach at Sunny Day resort,
north of Varna, has been waving the Blue Flag for 25 years now,
th? representative of the Bulgarian Blue Flag Movement, Stanimir
Georgiev, told BTA. The strip was awarded a special certificate
for meeting world quality standards non stop for a quarter of a
 century.

The bounties of nature coupled with the professionalism of the
resort' team helped the beach receive the Blue Flag certificate,
said Georgi Karadimov from the company that manages the beach.
He specified that a lot of effort, both with machines and
manual, goes into keeping the strip clean every day. The beach
is equipped with the necessary dressing rooms and showers.
Security is also up to standard. All lifeguards have passed the
required Bulgarian Red Cross courses and the lifeguard towers
are fully equipped. There are also medics to care for the
visitors of the beach, complete with a resuscitation car.

Guests can also enjoy all kinds of water attractions, both motor
and wind driven, Karadimov added. The concessionaire has made
sure that those who want to do so do not get in the way of
others.

Bulgarian Blue Flag beaches are at a world-class level, Georgiev
added. As a representative of the programme he travels a lot,
checking beaches from the Caribbean to Japan, and can say that
the Bulgarian ones definitely meet all possible standards. Every
year, between 11 and 16 Bulgarian beaches apply for the
certificate. This year, 13 beaches have been awarded the Blue
Flag, as well as one marina.

The other 12 Bulgarian Black Sea beaches awarded the Blue Flag
certificate are Golden Sands, Sunny Day, Sunny Beach North,
Sunny Beach Central, Sunny Beach South, Nessebur South, Pomorie
East, Sozopol Central, Sozopol Harmanite, Duni, Sveti Vlas and
Arkutino. Marina Dinevi is the only marina with a Blue Flag
certificate. NV/BR
