Sofia, July 15 (BTA) - Bulgaria will host a world forum of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), caretaker Agriculture, Food and Forestry Minister Hristo Bozukov said, emerging from a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of the National Vine and Wine Chamber, Yordan Chorbadjiiski, at a winery by the seaside town of Pomorie, the Agriculture Ministry reported Thursday.
The event is scheduled for the first half of 2022, as stated in an official letter from OIV Director General Pau Roca received this week.
The confirmation that preparations for one of the largest forums in the sector have begun comes just days after Bozukov proposed to OIV that Bulgaria host more forums related to vine wine in this region.
In his letter Roca expressed appreciation of Bulgaria's initiative to host such an event. He also said he is confident the country would do its best to organize the forum, just as it successfully did with the World Congress of Vine and Wine four years ago, Bozukov noted.
