Chief State Health Inspector Angel Kunchev said here on Monday that the Health Minister is expected to order changes to the restrictions for people coming from Monaco, Iceland and France, as these countries are to be designated as high contagion zones.
According to Kunchev, Bulgaria is at the start of the fourth COVID-10 wave, but the spread of the virus is still not too drastic and fast.
He said that the Delta variant is more infectious and Bulgaria could enter the orange zone in mid-August.
Answering a question whether a third dose of the vaccine will be needed, Kunchev said that this will likely become necessary, adding however, that this will require the vaccine's summary of product characteristics to be changed and an approval granted by the European Medicines Agency. RI, MY
