"Manager of the Year 2021" Finalists Announced,
Voice Hope for Greater Political Stability
in Bulgaria Next Year
Sofia, September 23 (BTA) - The ten finalists in the "Manager of the Year 2021" contest were announced at a BTA-hosted news conference on Thursday. All ten voiced a hope for greater political stability in Bulgaria next year.
This year's finalists are:
- Vladimir Kolev, Managing Director at KLETT Bulgaria OOD;
- Vladislav Roussev, CEO at Allianz Bulgaria Pension Company;
- Kristina Ivanova, Vice President of Operations for Bulgaria at CallPoint New Europe EAD;
- Miroslav Vichev, CEO at BORICA AD;
- Nikolay Hadjidontchev, Executive Director at Teva Pharma EAD;
- Radoslav Koshkov, Country General Manager at Schneider Electric for Bulgaria, Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo;
- Rayna Mitkova - Todorova, Managing Director at EOS Matrix Bulgaria;
- Svetlana Stefanova, General manager at FAAC Bulgaria EAD;
- Philippe Rouvrais, CEO at Modis Bulgaria EOOD and Head of Tech Delivery for Europe;
- Yavor Petrov, CEO at iCard AD
The companies managed by the contestants have an aggregate of 7,295 employees and revenue of more than 974 million leva in total.
The competition finalists expect a regular cabinet with clear aims and strategies to be formed, as well as a working National Recovery and Resilience Plan to boost the Bulgaria's economy.
The finalists noted that the ongoing pandemic has pushed most of the companies towards accelerated digitalization, new projects and partners.
The nominees hope that Bulgaria's economy will recover smoothly in 2022, which also depends on the country's pace of vaccination. Predictably, they are worried with the rising energy prices and the high inflation.
The finalists said that protecting their employees' health has been their top priority. Some of them said they have not laid off any employees and even intend to hire new ones.
The winner will be announced at an official ceremony at the start of November.
Earlier on Thursday BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and Denitsa Dimitrova, General Manager of MITT PRESS OOD, the publisher of the Manager Magazine and organizer of the contest, signed a media partnership agreement. KK
