Sofia, November 1 (BTA) - The National Customs Agency notched up revenues of over 1 billion leva in September 2021 from excise duties, import VAT and customs duties, the Agency said in a press release on Monday. The monthly revenues totalled 1,018.5 million leva, up by 185.5 million leva compared to September 2020.

The Agency's monthly revenues exceeded 1 billion leva for the second time in history, the previous one being in August 2021.

All types of revenues marked higher values, compared to September 2020. Revenues from excise duties amounted to 427.3 million leva, rising by 145.9 million leva from this time last year. Revenues from import VAT set a record for 2021, reaching 427.3 million leva, or by 145.9 million leva more than in September 2020. Revenues from customs duties increased by 8.5 million leva to reach nearly 26.2 million leva.

Revenues from excise duties, import VAT and custom duties for the January-September 2021 period amounted to 7,767.0 million leva, increasing by 952.9 million leva year on year.
