Statistcs: 1.3 Million Bulgarians
Make Tourist Trips in Q3,
Vast Majority Domestic


Sofia, November 22 (BTA) - In the third quarter of 2021, during the continuing epidemic situation in the country, 1,327,700 Bulgarian residents made tourist trips, of which 95.5 per cent were domestic. A total of 4 per cent of trips were only abroad and 0.5 per cent were both domestic and abroad, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported here on Monday.

Mostly Bulgarians aged 25 to 44 travelled in the third quarter of this year - 659,600, or 49.7 per cent of all who travelled. The majority of tourist trips of persons aged 15 and over domestically (70.4 per cent) and abroad (64.4 per cent) were for 'holiday and recreation'.

In the third quarter of 2021, a person aged 15 and over spent on an average of 385.94 leva on a private domestic tripand 693.50 leve on a private trip abroad, the NSI said. PP/MY/МЙ/
