Sofia Children's Hospital Receives Donation from Germany
November 26 (BTA) - The Prof. Ivan Mitev Children's
Hospital in Sofia has received medical equipment as a donation
from a clinic in the German town of Murnaum Staffelsee, the
Hospital reported here on Friday.
The donation includes 40 modular hospital beds, a defibrilator,
two anesthesiology machines and endoscopic equipment.
The donation is worth 50,000 euro and was made thanks to Rotary
Club Russelsheim Gross-Gerau, Rotary Club Sofia International
and Rotary Club Bansko-Razlog.
The equipment has already been put to use. Its shipping to
Bulgaria was also covered by donations from Rotary clubs in
Bulgaria and abroad.
"We needed these things and are grateful to all who took part in
this charitable act. Donating is a unique way for expressing
compassion," the Hospital's Director Dr. Blagomir Zdravkov said.
