InvestBulgaria Agency Ends 2021 with 31 Projects Worth Lv 1,220 Bln, 2,600 Potential New Jobs
Sofia, January 14 (BTA) - InvestBulgaria Agency (IBA) Executive Director Stamen Yanev evaluated 2021 as a successful year for the agency, during which 31 certified projects were finalized, worth 1,220 billion leva and with the potential to create 2,600 new jobs. Yanev took part in the final press conference on the project "Improvement of the quality and quantity of services provided to potential investors in Bulgaria", realized with the financial support of the Innovations and Competitiveness 2014-2020 Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
The 31 projects cover the areas of priority to Bulgarian investment policies, namely the automotive, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as health care, IT, and transport and logistics sectors, Yanev noted. According to his words these areas have a high growth potential and provide high added value. The biggest challenge for IBA in 2022 will be to adopt a faster working pace, said Yanev, pointing out that the economy is waking up globally.
Referencing the project, presented at the press conference, Yanev said that an online platform titled Virtual Office and a mobile app for investors will be created to increase awareness of investment opportunities.
